New Orleans-based brass band The Soul Rebels confirmed The Way Up Winter Tour as they prepare to release their first album in over seven years this summer. The Soul Rebels’ upcoming run includes a show with Rakim and the band’s return to Brooklyn Bowl in New York City.
This month, the group will focus on performances in their hometown. In February, The Soul Rebels head to California for a series of dates. The band will play San Diego’s Music Box on February 15, the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on February 16, Morro Bay’s The Siren on February 17 and B Street Theatre in Sacramento on February 21. On February 22, The Soul Rebels will team with Big Freedia at August Hall in San Francisco before they bring the California run to a close in Point Arena on February 23.
A trip to Asia in March will be followed by more shows in New Orleans and a swing through the Northeast. The Soul Rebels start the Northeast run at Garcia’s in Port Chester, New York on March 27. Next, the group will pair up with Rakim at The Ardmore Music Music Hall near Philadelphia on March 28. Finally, The Soul Rebels confirmed a pair of dates at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on March 29 and 30 with special guests to be announced. The tour comes ahead of festival appearances at Bonnaroo, BottleRock and their appearance at Red Rocks as part of Lettuce‘s Rage Rocks show on June 15.
