Formula 5 has released Live At The Palace Theatre, marking the up-and-coming jam band’s first live release since 2015. Paired with the album, the group confirmed that they will return to host their annual music festival, Rock the Dock Music Festival, on July 12 at Lake George, New York.
The new album was recorded in the group’s home of upstate New York at Albany’s historic Palace Theatre on November 23, 2018. Mixed and mastered by Matthew McLaren, the live release sports five songs: four previously unreleased new songs as well as a standout, 16-minute recording of “Sad Bed” off 2017’s All Points North. The band also announced that Rock the Dock Music Festival will return to the Lake George Steamboat Company on July 12. Initially started in 2017 to celebrate the Steamboat Company’s 200th anniversary, the festival has taken on a life of its own, with host Formula 5 welcoming fans each year to board three historic steamboats, watch performances from regional talent and enjoy local vendors. Formula 5 has also noted that a full lineup announcement for the evening event should be expected in the spring.
