Kim Churchill Announces 2019 National Tour Dates

141

Aussie troubadour Kim Churchill has unveiled a slew of national headlining tour dates in celebration of his new global multi-EP project.

The Aussie leg of his world tour will see him headline stages across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this June (check out all the dates and details below).

To coincide with his big tour announcement, the sandy-haired folkster has also dropped an official music video for his uplifting new single ‘After The Sun’, which was filmed guerrilla-style around the city of Berlin by director and friend, Connor Rancan.

“It started out as a way to contrast the natural and the man-made, but as we started searching the city and finding things, we noticed that there were so many wonderful examples of nature jumping into buildings, re-taking over what it originally owned,” Churchill explains.

And that’s not all. Kim has also revealed that the first EP of his ambitious new collection — recorded and co-produced by house and hip-hop producer Vincent Kottkamp, with additional production by Chris Collins (Gang of Youths, Middle Kids, Ruby Fields) — will be entitled I AM and be released on Friday, 3rd May.

ICYMI it’s the first instalment of a mind-boggling cross-continental musical experiment that saw Kim write and record four separate EPs across four different countries — Germany, Canada, the UK and (naturally) his own land down under — in collaboration with local artists and producers.
