The LOCKN’ Festival’s 2019 installment will take place at Infinity Downs Farm in Arrington, Virginia August 22 – 25. Organizers revealed the initial lineup, which features a number of impressive collaborations.
The Trey Anastasio Band will perform with special guest Derek Trucks, while the Phish guitarist will return the favor as Trey will sit-in with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. Anastasio mentioned Derek as someone he’d like to form a band with during a 2017 interview with JamBase and sat-in with the TTB at the Beacon Theatre later that year. Furthermore, Bob Weir & Wolf Bros will welcome special guest Susan Tedeschi for their LOCKN’ performance.
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Gary Clark Jr., The Revivalists, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, moe., Oteil & Friends with Bob Weir, Old Crow Medicine Show and Chris Robinson Brotherhood are among the other acts revealed today. “By announcing the full lineup now we wanted to give fans a good idea of what to expect, but there’s definitely a surprise or two still coming,” co-founder Peter Shapiro said as per his Relix publication. “I am not quite sure what it is yet, but I am looking forward to finding out.” Stay tuned for additional lineup announcements.
