Luther Dickinson and Sisters of the Strawberry Moon are gearing up for the release of their debut album Solstice on March 22 via New West Records. The new band previously released the single “Like A Songbird That Has Fallen” and now have shared an accompanying video.

“Like A Songbird That Has Fallen” features vocals and instrumentation from Amy Helm and Lillie Mae. The album also includes contributions from Amy LaVere, Birds of Chicago, Sharde Thomas and the Como Mamas. Luther produced the album over the course of four days at his family’s Zebra Ranch Studio in Independence, Mississippi. The 12-song set is said to be “a collection that brings together some of the most captivating female voices in modern American roots music and filters each of their distinctive personalities through a singular vision of artistic community and musical exploration” as per materials announcing the LP.
