Mavis Staples posted official video of her covering “Slippery People” by Talking Heads from her upcoming album Live In London. ANTI- Records will release the live album this Friday, February 8.
The 14 tracks on Live In London were recorded during shows Staples performed last year at Union Chapel on July 9 and (her 79th birthday) July 10. The bulk of the songs on the album come from Staples’ releases since joining ANTI- in 2007. A longtime staple of Staples’ live sets, watch her covering Talking Heads’ “Slippery People” below:
