Michael Franti & Spearhead recently announced their Summer Tour 2019, featuring support from Ziggy Marley and Sublime with Rome. The outing will promote the group’s latest studio effort, the critically acclaimed Stay Human Vol. II, which was released at the end of January via Thirty Tigers.
Franti & Spearhead’s summer tour begins with a series of festival and amphitheater appearances across April, May and June, including shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Mountain Jam, BottleRock Festival and others. On June 14, the group meets up with Ziggy Marley, who will support the band for nine performances along the West Coast and in the Southwest. After a set at Marshfield, Massachusetts’ Levitate Music & Arts Festival in mid-July, the band will work its way across the mid-Atlantic, with two-night runs in Ocean City, Maryland, and Wilmington, North Carolina, as well as a stop in Asheville, North Carolina.
On June 23, Michael Franti & Spearhead will unite with Sublime with Rome, continuing on with the group for a three-night run across Florida. The two bands will continue through the South, with dates in South Carolina, North Carolina and Arkansas on the books. To close out Sublime with Rome’s leg of the tour, Michael Franti & Spearhead will play for four nights in Texas at the beginning of August. The final dates of the group’s summer calendar includes three European dates in mid-August.
