The Newport Folk Festival continues to slowly reveal its 2019 lineup. Organizers have announced that Lake Street Dive will perform on the Sunday of this year’s event, which will be held at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island on July 26 – 28.
Organizers of the Newport Folk Festival partner with each act on the bill to donate to a music education charity. Newport Festival Foundation has made a donation on behalf of Lake Street Dive to The Institute for the Musical Arts to help support scholarship and financial aid funds for their summer residential music programs for girls and young women.
Lake Street Dive joins recent additions JS Ondara, Maggie Rogers, The Nude Party, Courtney Marie Andrews and I’m With Her. Tickets for this year’s Newport Folk Festival are sold out.
