Peter Frampton Appears On ‘CBS This Morning’

On Friday, Peter Frampton announced that he would be playing his final concerts detailing a massive farewell tour. The British singer and guitarist appeared on CBS This Morning for an interview segment revealing that the impetus for the tour was due to the fact that he has a degenerative muscular disease called inclusion-body myositis.

The 68-year-old musician chatted with Anthony Mason of the morning news magazine show about the rare and incurable inflammatory condition that causes muscles to weaken slowly. Frampton revealed that he was diagnosed with IBM three and a half years ago after a fall on stage. The piece also touched on his career and music along with also with revealing that Frampton is participating new drug trial in conjunction with Johns Hopkins and has started a charity for research.
