As part of the 50th-anniversary celebration of Woodstock, a reissue of the 1970 concert film will be released in August. The film is set to include a new documentary featurette by producer Bill Gerber (A Star Is Born) that will include previously unseen footage of Neil Young‘s and Janis Joplin’s performances from the three-day music festival.

“The film has new interviews and is also the Young Men With Unlimited Capital story of John Roberts and Joel Rosenman, these two young guy who started Woodstock as a capital raise to build a recording studio,” Gerber shared with Deadline. “There is also material no one has ever seen. Neil Young was not in the movie for a variety of reasons, until now. There is unseen footage of Janis Joplin and performance footage that hasn’t been seen.”

According to the report on Deadline, Gerber reunited Young with his ex-bandmates David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash to talk about the performance, which was their second-ever together, for the companion documentary.
