Arizona jam quartet Spafford are currently in the middle of an extensive winter tour. On Monday, the group opened with a debut cover of the blues classic “Stormy Monday” at Southern Cafe in Charlottesville, Virginia and the band also recently shared pro-shot video of a standout “The Remedy” from their February 2 tour stop at The Majestic in Detroit.

“Stormy Monday” was written and recorded by pioneering blues guitarist T-Bone Walker. Spafford kicked off Monday’s concert with a version of the song that stayed true to the original. The first set in Charlottesville also featured an 18+ minute “All In.” Next up was a wild segment that started with “Electric Taco Stand” and then saw the four-piece work a portion of John Coltrane’s “Impressions” — another debut — into their own “Steak Sauce.” Monday’s second set was a four-song affair that began with a 25+ minute “Dream Jam” and continued with an adventurous “My Road (My Road).” Spafford concluded the frame with “Broken Wing” and “Backdoor Funk” ahead of a “Beautiful Day” encore.

The second show of Spafford’s current tour took place at Detroit’s Majestic. One of the highlights was a long and winding “The Remedy” that ended the closing stanza. Watch pro-shot video of “The Remedy” from Detroit:
