Strand of Oaks shared the official music video for the single “Ruby.” The track comes from the upcoming Strand Of Oaks (Timothy Showalter) album, Eraserland, which will be issued by Dead Oceans on March 22.

Showalter recorded Eraserland with members of My Morning Jacket – guitarist Carl Broemel, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan and keyboardist Bo Koster – during sessions with producer Kevin Ratterman at La La Land Studios in Louisville. The follow-up to 2017’s Hard Love and its 2018 companion Harder Love also features contributions from guitarist Jason Isbell and vocalist Emma Ruth Rundle. Showalter shared the following regarding “Ruby”:

“Ruby” is the happiest song I’ve ever written. Ruby isn’t a person, rather the concept of time and memory and how with every passing year it becomes non linear. In the past I would’ve dismissed such unabashedly pure optimism, but I’ve been through a lot and I’ve learned to appreciate those rare moments of light.
