New Zealand’s The Beths and Brisbane’s Sweater Curse have announced they will both no longer be joining The Smith Street Band on their nationwide tour that starts next month.

In a statement posted to social media, Sweater Curse said they will no longer be touring with SSB but promise to hit the road by themselves soon.

“Sweater Curse will no longer be a part of the upcoming Smith Street Band tour in March and April,” the statement reads.

“We are sorry to those of you who were planning on coming down early to see us play, but we will be visiting you all soon and hope we can see you then.”

The Beths gave a similar statement, but made note that their headline dates might be affected by this cancellation and that they stand with “the victims involved.”

ICYMI, last week “emotionally abusive” emails and messages were released online that were allegedly from Smith Street Band frontman Wil Wagner and were, allegedly, sent to two previous partners of his.

Last night, both Wagner and Camp Cope’s Georgia Maq, who outed herself as one of the receivers of the messages, released statements on the issue.
