This Friday, February 15 The Marcus King Band will make their debut on the CBS late-night talk show The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The group will be Colbert’s musical guest in support of their Carolina Confessions LP.

This past Friday night, the MKB headlined a sold-out concert at Boathouse Live in Newport News, Virginia. Videographer Steve O’Neil captured footage of the entire concert, which can be viewed below. The sextet opened with the fitting “Virginia” off their self-titled 2016 album before digging into “Sharry Barry.” Next came “Where I’m Headed,” one of six tunes from Carolina Confessions to make the setlist. The Marcus King Band also worked in “Swinging Doors” by Merle Haggard and the Col. Bruce Hampton favorite “Compared To What” as well as “Thespian Espionage” from the 2016 album, the debut of a brand-new song entitled “No Pain At All” and the fan-favorite “Rita Is Gone.” Watch the whole show below:
