Wilco announced the lineup of the 2019 Solid Sound Festival. The event will be held at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts June 28 – 30.
Wilco will play two headlining sets, marking the band’s first U.S. performances in almost two years. Joining the host band at Solid Sound 2019 will be Courtney Barnett, The Feelies, Tortoise, John Hodgman’s Comedy Cabaret, Jeff Tweedy & Friends, Jonathan Richman, Clipping, Cate Le Bon, The Minus 5, Julian Lage Trio, Autumn Defense and “Fishing” featuring Jon Hamm and Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, among others. Solid Sound will also offer Penguin Random House’s Authors in Discussion, a sound installation from Genelec, a Reverb music auction, axe throwing, a Ghost Town screen printing workshop and access to galleries within MASS MoCA featuring long-term installations by James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt, Jenny Holzer, and Anselm Kiefer.
