The show announcement acts as the first summer headlining date for Aqueous, who also have a handful of festival appearances lined up throughout June, July, and August. The band continues their busy tour schedule in promotion of their 2018 studio album, Color Wheel. Following the completion of a successful 2019 winter tour earlier this month, the four-piece rock band also recently played a show in Rochester, NY which featured their first-ever all-improvised set.

Aqueous Guitarist Mike Gantzer also recently revived his Green Day tribute project alongside Umphrey’s McGee bassist Ryan Stasik and drummer Kris Myers for an intimate Umphrey’s afterparty in Albany, NY last month.

“I’ve always thought of improvisation as a two-way street,” Gantzer recently told L4LM in regards to their all-improv set and how the band approaches spontaneous creation. “The musicians are there creating it, we’re basically feeding off what people are and aren’t responding to. It becomes this push/pull mentality. There’s just this energy getting thrown around in the room and it’s our job to pick up on it and be conduits from the audience and from each other. We aren’t planning any of it, we want it to be completely authentic and I am very excited for that.”

Tickets for the July 6th after-show go on sale this Friday, March 22nd at 10 a.m. EST, and can be found here. Tickets to the show, as well as all of the band’s upcoming winter and spring performances, can be found on the tour page of Aqueous’ website.
