G-Shock’s New Gravitymaster is a Carbon Fiber Pilot’s Watch

Casio’s rugged G-Shock watch line just got an aviation-inspired addition in the all-new Gravitymaster

The brawny bauble boasts a laminated carbon bezel, carbon fiber insert band, scratch resistant sapphire glass, and an updated titanium button structure designed to make it easier for a gloved hand to execute different functions.

All of that carbon fiber makes the Gravitymaster extraordinarily lightweight, while “Triple G Resist” protection ensures that the tough timepiece’s hands keep ticking through three main types of “gravitational acceleration:” shock, centrifugal force and vibration.

Like the limited-edition G-Steel and Jyuryokumaru G-Shock models, the Bluetooth-enabled Gravitymaster can be adjusted for daylight saving time and time zone changes via the G-Shock Connected app. Casio says its smartphone connectivity could be especially useful for pilots.

Other features include 200M water resistance, a countdown timer, daily alarm and full auto calendar.

The G-Shock Gravitymaster, model GWRB1000-1A1, will retail online and at select jewelers for $800 beginning this April.
