Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, India.Arie and Lucius are among the acts announced as part of the 2019 The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival lineup. The free festival celebrating music and the arts wil take place at Point State Park, Gateway Plaza and the Cultural District in downtown Pittsburgh June 7 – 16. All performances are free and open to the public.
Arie kicks off the action on June 7. Marty Stuart And His Fabulous Superlatives play on June 8, while Nahko and Medicine for the People and The Teskey Brothers are aboard for June 9. Members of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra have a special appearance in store for June 10, KDTU bring yinz the funk on June 11, Kaia Kater will bring her throwback sound to Pittsburgh on June 12 and Lucius perform on June 13. A double bill of Tank and the Bangas and Too Many Zooz are set for June 14, while Mandolin Orange, Mipso and Parsonsfield play the festivla on June 15. We look back and celebrate six decades of top-notch talent, having shared our Festival stage with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, The Phillip Glass Ensemble, Citizen Cope, and hundreds of others from everywhere in between,” said Sarah Aziz, Director of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival and Festival Management for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. “I know our audiences will not be disappointed with the caliber and diversity of our Festival artists in 2019.”
