Third Annual North Country River Jam Announces 2019 Lineup

137

In support of veterans, North Country River Jam (NCRJ 2019) is back for it’s 3rd year.  To be held August 9-10 on the Amvet’s site in Champlain, NY, NCRJ is one of the most popular and well-attended music events to take place in Northern N.Y.

This year’s headliner is EXMAG, an EDM group that is taking the festival circuit by storm, also appearing on lineups such as Electric Forest, Summer Camp Music Festival and Beanstalk.  Returning to the NCJR stage for the second year is The Elovaters, a reggae band based out of Boston. Heavily influenced by Bob Marley and Sublime, The Elovaters have been touring heavily since the release of their sophomore album Defy Gravity that reached number two on the iTunes reggae chart and number nine on the Billboard Reggae Chart, both headlining and playing in support of acts like Ziggy Marley, Stick Figure, and The Movement.  Next up on the lineup for 2019 is Toronto based funk and soul rockers, After Funk.  This groovy quartet is known for relentlessly touring and keeping their fans moving.  After Funk is currently on tour in support of their album Santa Barbara.   Keeping it funky, the North Country is also welcoming Steady Flow to the stage this year. The six-piece has become known as a “funk-powerhouse.”

North Country’s own Blues for Breakfast is back at NCRJ this year with their beloved style of “Grateful Americana.”  These guys are an establishment in the region and always deliver a solid set of tunes.  Hailing from the Midwest, Kris Lager Band will be making an appearance, showcasing his unique style of “revivalist rock, heavy soul & boogie trance.” Regional favorites from Syracuse, Root Shock, will be on deck to deliver the high energy blend of reggae and heavy drum & bass combined with American roots and soul that they are known for.  Rounding out this well-balanced and eclectic lineup will be Black Dirt Bandits, bringing a northern rock and country vibe, Hartley’s Encore rocking a funk and soul groove from Albany and highly anticipated The Melting Nomads with their fiery jams and jazzy, sensual flow.

The two-day music festival will feature food vendors, an outdoor bar area, merch vendors, and activities for all ages.  The event is family friendly and will offer a quiet camping area as well as RV and car camping options.

Tickets will be on sale soon online.  North Country River Jam is a family friendly event.  All ages welcome. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 11 and under receive free entry.
