It’s a nostalgic time of the year for Allman Brothers fans, who would normally be in the midst of their own musical March madness at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. The southern rock pioneers have played over 230 sold-out performances at the Beacon, hosting only the most dedicated fans and special guests throughout the 45 years of the band’s existence. It was the #1 time of the year to look forward to, a family reunion at it’s best.

On March 24 of 2012, the night’s menu included John Popper, Jimmy Hall, Bruce Katz, Rob Barraco, and James van de Bogert on deck as special guests. Showcasing the their diversity through both acoustic and electric segments, the Allman Brothers never would shy away from the opportunities to improvise and jam something new.
