On Friday, Garcia Peoples took part in day two of the Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion at the Scoot Inn in Austin. The full-day SXSW showcase presented by Relix and Brooklyn Bowl featured sets from Billy Strings, Matthew Logan Vasquez, Hayes Carll, Strand of Oak, White Demin and more. The up anc coming jam act welcomed guitarist William Tyler for a portion of their set for a string of Grateful Dead covers.
The Brooklyn-based band used the opportunity to showcase a number selections from their forthcoming LP Natural Facts. At the midway point, Tyler emerged as the augmented ensemble offered up “I Know You Rider” before digging in on the segued pairing of “Deal” and “The Other One” closing out the collaboration with “Don’t Ease Me In.”
