Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles have shared an extended live version of Marvin Gaye’s “Inner City Blues” that was recorded at a recent JammJam event hosted by Jammcard. The funk ensemble was joined by Gospel singer B.Slade for their take on the song from the legendary soul singer’s 1971 LP What’s Going On.
The 13+ minute version of “Inner City Blues” features Henry on vocals, Hammond B3 organ and synthesizer, along with keyboardist Nick Semrad, drummer TaRon Lockett, guitarist Adam Agati abd bassist Sharay Reed. Watch pro-shot video below:
