Fruit Bats shared the title track their upcoming studio album Gold Past Life. The sixth Fruit Bats record, and first on Merge Records, comes out June 21.
Fruit Bats (Eric D. Johnson) recorded Gold Past Life with producer Thom Monahan. The 11-tracks on the follow-up to 2016’s Absolute Loser feature contributions from Neal Casal, Greta Morgan, Trevor Beld Jimenez, Tim Ramsey and Meg Duffy.
According to Johnson, the title track is about, “love and fate and the meaningless random brutal nature of the universe. Y’know, small stuff and big stuff!” Listen below:
