Greensky Bluegrass Welcomes DJ Logic & More At Bender Jamboree

Greensky Bluegrass played their first of two headlining sets at the Bender Jamboree at the Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas on Saturday. The Michigan-based band welcomed a slew of friends to help out them out teaming with DJ Logic, Andy Thorn of Leftover Salmon, Jon Stickley and more.

The five-piece act looked to “All For Money,” the title track from their new studio album to get their set off the ground. After takes on “Kerosene” and “Do Harm” the jamgrass act welcomed their first guests of the night. Jarrod Walker from Billy Strings‘ band and Greensky crew member Keith Kinnear emerged for a take on “Burn Them.” “Murder Of Crows” followed with Thorn and Stickley emerging next. The now seven-member group dug in on a jam-heavy pairing on “Broke Mountain Breakdown” and the Allman Brothers Band live staple “One Way Out” that featured Thorn on banjo and Stickley on guitar.

The quartet had one last surprise as DJ Logic joined them for their final tune of the night. With the turntablist in tow, the ensemble offered up a “Leap Year” that featured them working in elements of Phish’s “Martian Monster” from the Vermont act’s Chilling, Thrilling Sounds Of The Haunted House material.
