JamBase is looking to add live music-lovers with news writing experience to our editorial team. Interested applicants should be familiar with the world of live music with a focus on the jam scene and be willing and available to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

The JamBase editorial team seeks part-time staffers willing to contribute between 20-30 hours of editorial content each week. Requirements include writing articles regarding tour announcements, festival lineups, new album releases, music videos and other breaking news items as they happen. Previous professional experience in daily music news publishing is strongly desired. Other qualifications include familiarity with WordPress, managing social media accounts, image editing and SEO.

The remote position includes weekend newsdesk coverage (Saturday and Sunday) plus two or three additional days each week and requires availability during normal business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Attending and reviewing concerts is not a requirement.

To apply, please send an email to [email protected] with your resume, cover letter and a sample of your prior published work. If you’ve previously applied to JamBase, please re-submit your information.
