Soulive will celebrate their 20th anniversary by reviving the Bowlive tradition at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City. Bowlive VIII will consist of six shows featuring Soulive with special guests. The concerts also come in honor of Brooklyn Bowl’s 10th anniversary.

The run begins on July 11 and runs through July 20. Dates in between are July 12, 13, 18 and 19. Special guests announcements are forthcoming. The tradition dates back to March 2010, less than a year after the venue opened. Soulive’s Bowlive performances are known for stellar collaborations. Past guests have included Jennifer Hartswick, Derek Trucks, John Scofield, Marcus King, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi and George Porter Jr.. The event was put on hiatus for 2018.

Soulive only played a handful of shows last year. Guitarist Eric Krasno focused on various projects, drummer Alan Evans toured with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and keyboardist Neal Evans embarked on a world tour as part of Jack White‘s band.
