Southern rock sextet The Marcus King Band unveiled the official video for “Goodbye Carolina.” The song is the second track on the band’s 2018 studio album, Carolina Confessions.
“I wrote ‘Goodbye Carolina’ from the perspective of a dear friend we lost in 2017,” King stated. “‘Carolina’ represents whatever you have the hardest time saying goodbye to.” The song from the Dave Cobb-produced LP also seems biographical in that Marcus recently moved from his native South Carolina to Nashville.
