The Raconteurs will release Help Us Stranger, their first album of new material in 11 years via Third Man Records on June 21. The rock act has shared a cover of Donovan‘s “Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness),” which is among the 12-tracks that will appear on their forthcoming LP.
The Raconteurs take on the tune that was originally released as the B-side to Donovan’s “Turquoise” in October 1965, was unveiled as part of the launch of Third Man Records’ new Bandcamp page. Jack White, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler performed the track for the first time live this past weekend during their appearance at Third Man Records’ 10th anniversary celebration at the label’s Nashville headquarters.
