The Rock Collection Shares New Single ‘American Spring’ Ahead Of East Coast Debut

143

Supergroup The Rock Collection released the single “American Spring” ahead of their upcoming East Coast debut. The band features Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Melvin Seals, ALO guitarist Lebo (Dan Lebowitz), guitarist Stu Allen, Zero drummer Greg Anton, vocalist Stephanie Salva and bassist JP McLean.

“American Spring” was co-written by Anton and Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. “Some years ago, Robert Hunter began working on this song with Jerry Garcia … it was unfinished, he gave the lyrics to me, I wrote the music, The Rock Collection recorded it,” said Greg Anton. “It’s a rare political Hunter song … the words are powerful, compelling and painfully contemporary.”

Next up is a performance at Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on Saturday, April 27. Finally, the group ends the brief tour at The Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 28.
