Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes will go without his usual band for a concert billed under his own name this July. Haynes will play two sets at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in Westhampton, New York on Thursday, July 25.
The announcement came with no specific word of the format. As for now, there’s no word of whether Warren will perform solo or will lead an eponymous band. The last two-set show featuring Haynes as a solo artist was back on April 19, 2012, when he fronted the Warren Haynes Band for a performance in Charleston, South Carolina that took place just hours after the death of Levon Helm and included a tribute to The Band drummer. A pre-sale for tickets to the intimate affair will take place via TicketsToday on Wednesday, April 24 at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 26.
