The ‘You Are Us/Aroha Nui’ benefit went down in Christchurch last night, held to raise funds for victims of the Christchurch terrorist attack that happened in March, and Lorde was one of the night’s special guests.
Lorde took to the stage with Marlon Williams to perform a stirring cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic ‘Sound of Silence’. On top of that, Lorde also performed her 2013 hit ‘Team’.
The two were not the only artists to perform at the benefit. Other artists of note included Shihad, Stan Walker and The Adults.
Lorde has been relatively quiet for a little while now. Her last album, Melodrama, was released in 2017 and the last time she was in Australia was for a headlining performance at last year’s Splendour In The Grass.
