Yeezy fans of down under rejoice! YouTube has announced that it will be live streaming Kanye West‘s Coachella ‘Sunday Service’ set next weekend for the benefit of all of us FOMO-stricken Aussies.
ICYMI Yeezus unveiled plans to take us to church at Coachella, bringing his live sessions series — which sees him reinterpret some of his classic tracks in gospel style — to the Californian festival on Easter Sunday.
Ye’s ‘Sunday Service’ will take place at The Mountain site in the festival’s campground on Sunday morning (California time) and be live-streamed as part of a curated batch of performances from the second weekend of the mega-fest.
It’ll mean a late night (or early morning) for Aussie fans who want to watch it happen live, kicking off at 2am AEST on Easter Monday (at least it’s the long weekend though, eh?)
The first edition of Kanye’s live sessions in January saw him give songs like ‘Ghost Town’, ‘Father Stretch My Hands’, ‘Heard ‘Em Say’, and ‘Reborn’ a gospel rework.
The rapper was actually one of Coachella’s first choices for their 2019 headliner, but apparently pulled out because the festival couldn’t build him a giant dome which should be surprising to no one.
