Billy Strings Welcomes Taz & Cedric Burnside In New Orleans: Full Show Pro-Shot Video

163

Billy Strings made the most of his Tipitina’s debut in New Orleans on Wednesday by welcoming Cedric Burnside and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer for separate guest spots. Pro-shot video of the entire sold-out show is available now and can be viewed below.

Strings and his band brought out Burnside in the middle of their first set. Cedric added to a Billy-sung rendition of “Lonesome Valley” by the Carter Family and then led the quartet through Robert Johnson’s “Me & The Devil Blues.” Brandon “Taz” Niederauer emerged at the end of the second set to shred on Son Seals’ “Funky Bitch” and displayed more subtle playing on the Little Feat classic “Willin’.” The pairing of Billy Strings and Taz then lit into the twangy bluegrass number “Meet Me At The Creek” and extended it with a lengthy jam. For the encore, Niederauer joined the four-piece for The Allman Brothers Band’s “Midnight Rider.” Watch the entire show below thanks to nugs.net:
