Bruce Springsteen joined Little Steven and The Disciples of Soul for three songs on Wednesday night at the Paramount in Asbury Park. The guest appearance came just four nights after The Boss sat-in with his E Street Band mate on the same three tunes in Beverly Hills.
Little Steven & The Disciples Of Soul continue to celebrate the release of their Summer Of Sorcery studio album. Bruce Springsteen emerged towards the end of the band’s six-song encore. The Boss added to his own “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,” Van Zandt’s “Sun City” and a cover of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes’ “I Don’t Want To Go Home.” Little Steven ended the night without The Boss for “Out Of The Darkness.” While Saturday’s guest appearance was a little ragged, Springsteen, Van Zandt and The Disciples Of Soul had it down in their hometown last night.
