Dopapod Announces 2019 Colorado Shows

133

Dopapod has announced their latest 2019 show, which will see the quartet head out to Denver, CO’s Ogden Theatre on Saturday, October 5th. Octave Cat, which features Dopapod keyboardist Eli Winderman along with Lotus’ Jesse Miller and Charlie Patierno, will handle the evening’s opening duties. The night prior, Friday, October 4th, the band will offer a special VIP performance down the road at Ophelia’s.

The announcement comes on the heels of the band’s new album release, Emit Time, which arrived last Friday. Emit Time marks the follow-up to the band’s 2017 Megagem release and the first new album from the Boston-born quartet since their year-long sabbatical in 2018.

The band—comprised of guitarist Rob Compa, drummer Neal “Fro” Evans, bassist Chuck Jones, and keyboardist Eli Winderman—recorded their latest studio effort during recent sessions in Philadelphia and Denver. The writing process for Emit Time differed from Dopapod’s past efforts, with each member bringing songs into the sessions that they had individually worked on during the hiatus, creating a more collaborative writing environment. In addition, lyrics on Emit Time were a group effort for the first time in the band’s career.

A variety of ticket options including VIP packages go on sale this Friday, May 31st at 10 a.m. (EST) here.

Dopapod’s only other current scheduled tour dates include summer festival appearances at Disc Jam Music Festival, The Peach Music Festival, and The Werk Out Music & Arts Festival.

Head to Dopapod’s website for ticketing and more information.
