Eric Krasno Trio Announces Chicago Dead & Company After-Shows

159

Eric Krasno Trio has announced a three-night run at Martyrs’ Live set to take place Thursday, June 13th through Saturday, June 15th, with the latter two nights clocking in after Dead & Company finishes out of Wrigley Field. Chicago-based bluegrass/pop cover band Bluegrassify will open up the festivities on night one, with The North 41 scheduled to support on night three.

The trio consists of drummer Eric Kalb and organ player Eric Finland, with Krasno on guitar and vocals. The group debuted last year with three shows in New York, at Rockwood Music Hall, Garcia’s at The Cap, and the Blue Note. The shows were all met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from Krasno’s diverse following, who have long enjoyed his body of work with a variety of different musicians including virtually every member of the Grateful Dead as well as funk fusion bands Lettuce and Soulive, blues rockers Tedeschi Trucks Band, hip-hop heavyweights 50 Cent and Talib Kweli, and so many more.

Eric Krasno Trio setlists have varied with covers of The BeatlesAllman Brothers Band, and the Grateful Dead, as well as old-school funk and jazz standards, but there’s no telling what they have in store for this upcoming run. Special guests from past shows include John Scofield, Jeff Coffin, Eric “Benny” Bloom, James Casey, and more.
