Wu-Tang Clan fans are likely already pumped for tonight’s premiere of Showtime’s Of Mics and Men docu-series, but Maxim.com has an exclusive sneak peek to tide you over.
The above teaser shows Wu-Tang rapper (and acclaimed solo artist in his own right) Ghostface Killah returning to his childhood home in Brooklyn and tenderly reminiscing about his R&B singer father, who left when the hip-hop legend was still a young boy.
“When he left the home for good, that was like traumatic for me. That’s like your first superhero, was your father,” Ghostface says. “He left all his records and I would play them every day because that’s how I connected with him.”
Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men, a four-part limited docuseries from filmmaker and Director Sacha Jenkins (BURN MOTHERF*CKER, BURN!) and produced by Mass Appeal, debuts on Showtime Friday, May 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
