George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic are currently on a brief break from their 2019 “One Nation Under A Groove” farewell tour that began back on March 10th and is set to continue throughout the summer months. The funk outfit, led by Clinton, has now added a dozen new dates to the summer tour throughout the months of June and August, which, like the previously-announced, will feature support from Fishbone, Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf, and Galactic.
The tour recently wrapped a four-night run at The Blue Note Hawaii in Honolulu, HI last month, and won’t pick up again until May 26th with the band’s appearance at Summer Camp Music Festival. The new dates will begin on June 7th with a show at Rivers Casino with Fishbone and Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf. From there, the bands will continue with performances at venues including Artpark in Lewiston, NY (6/11); The Sylvee in Madison, WI (6/21); the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA (6/25); Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN (6/26); and the White Oak Amphitheatre in Greensboro, NC (6/27), to name a few.

The tour then rides into August with more new scheduled performances at Oregon Spirit Distillers in Bend, OR (8/9); The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, TX (8/23); The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX (8/24); and the Revention Music Center in Houston, TX (8/25).
“I would love to keep on doing this but I’ll be 78 in a few more months,” Clinton said to go with the tour’s announcement back in February. “Even though I feel like I’m just getting started, the reality is the group needs to go ahead and keep it going. We’ve got a new vibe in the band, and they’ve been carrying it for the last three years. I’ve been up there representing for people, but they’ve actually been turning the place out. And we’ve been selling out for the last five years, every night.”
