Gov’t Mule Announces Concert Film And Live Album, ‘Bring On The Music – Live At The Capitol Theatre’, Adds 2019 Summer Tour Dates

112

Gov’t Mule‘s April 2018 performances at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY were professionally filmed and recorded, and will reemerge as a concert film and live album, set to arrive this summer.

The new album and film, each to be titled, Bring On The Music – Live At The Capitol Theatre, will include audio and video footage from the band’s two shows at the historic concert venue from April 27th-28th, 2018. Both the film and album are scheduled to arrive on June 28th via Provogue/Mascot Label Group. The album will be the rock band’s first since 2017’s Revolution Come…Revolution Go.

According to the band’s announcement shared Thursday morning, the concert film was shot by Danny Clinch, and will include more than two hours of video footage from the 2018 concerts, interviews with the band, behind-the-scenes footage, photos, and more. The album and film will be sold in a 2 CD/2 DVD deluxe package, although it’s worth noting that the CD and DVD will feature entirely different track lists and include bonus videos of the band’s performances of “Soulshine” and “Traveling Tune”. The album and film will also be sold on two separate double-vinyl packages, digital, Blu-ray, and a 2-CD package featuring the audio from the film.

The title for the two projects is pulled from the band’s 2013 song of the same name, which touches upon the passing of time and appreciating life’s journey, according to a statement shared via press release. Fans can watch the concert’s teaser trailer below.

The band also shared a new batch of summer tour dates to go with Thursday’s announcement, which are woven into their previously-announced 2019 spring/summer performances. News of the forthcoming releases on Thursday morning also comes just a day following the news that guitarist Warren Haynes will return to this year’s Newport Folk Festival this summer.
