Hot Tuna has announced an expansive batch of 2019 electric tour dates in honor of their 50th anniversary, which will keep guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, bassist Jack Casady, and drummer Justin Guip on the road through September. The trio will team up with an all-star cast of guests throughout the tour including the David Bromberg Quintet, Larry Campbell and Theresa Williams, Dave Mason, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, and Dark Star Orchestra for a special performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 8th.
Following a string of acoustic performances, Hot Tuna will open up their 50th-anniversary electric tour at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on August 15th. The band will continue on with shows in Asbury Park, NJ (8/16); Westbury, NY (8/17); New Haven, CT (8/20); Boston, Ma (8/21); Philadelphia, PA (8/23); Stroudsburg, PA (8/24); Washington, D.C. (8/25); Carrboro, NC (8/27); Asheville, NC (8/29); and very special show at The Caverns in Pelham, TN on August 30th.
Hot Tuna will then make their way west with stops in Memphis, TN (9/1); St. Louis, MO (9/4); Springfield, MO (9/5); Kansas City, MO (9/6); Morrison, CO (9/8); Bozeman, MT (9/10); Missoula, MT (9/11); Seattle, WA (9/13); and Portland, OR (9/14) followed by a tour-closing performance at Eugene, OR’s McDonald Theatre on September 15th.
