Jam Cruise, the beloved musical cruise and destination event, will return back to its five-day format with two port stops in 2019. Jam Cruise 18 will take place from January 7th-12th, 2020, returning to the MSC Divina for stops in Ocean Cays, Bahamas and Costa Maya, Mexico.

One of the many highlights of Jam Cruise is the expansive offering of musical supergroups that rarely perform elsewhere. One of those groups is Dragon Smoke, the Jazz Fest-born supergroup comprised of New Orleans heavy-hitters Ivan NevilleStanton MooreRobert Mercurio, and Eric Lindell. In January 2019, Dragon Smoke took over the Pool Deck to take Jam Cruise day 3 into the midnight hour. A rare appearance for the all-star crew outside of Jazz Fest, the quartet welcomed a plethora of guests including Big Sam, Skerik, Mike Dillon, Marcus King, and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.

This week, Jam Cruise shared pro-shot footage of Dragon Smoke working through a scorching rendition of “Yes We Can Can”, a classic R&B tune written by Allen Toussaint and initially recorded by the Pointer Sisters.  Check out Jam Cruise’s latest release from their video vault rollout below:
