James Taylor Performs ‘Carolina In My Mind’ On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

107

James Taylor returned to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday for a performance of his 1968 classic “Carolina In My Mind.” Taylor’s band included legendary baseball player Bernie Williams on guitar and Letterman band bassist Will Lee.

Colbert introduced James Taylor by reeling off some of his honors including Rock & Roll and Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame inductee. The North Carolina native then led a rendition of the tribute to his home state from his self-titled 1968 debut studio album. James Taylor’s performance was likely filmed on February 3, when the famed singer-songwriter and his band played “Your Smiling Face” and “Shower The People” during a post-Super Bowl episode of the CBS late-night talk show. Taylor was in Las Vegas yesterday for a show as part of his residency at The Colosseum in Las Vegas.
