Sebastian Bach Shares Gregg Allman Tribute

153

In May 2017, Gregg Allman passed away. While the Allman Brothers Band co-founder was known for his pioneering Southern rock, his loss permeated throughout the music world. Now, Sebastian Bach, the former Skid Row frontman, has shared a tribute to the rock icon that was performed shortly after his death.

Bach’s tribute was captured on June 24, 2017, during a performance at Grand Rapids, Michigan’s 20 Monroe Live. During the show, the heavy-metal frontman invited out Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith from the side stage to join the band for a rendition of “Whipping Post.” The group used Skid Row’s “Monkey Business,” off 1991’s Slave To The Grind, eventually transitioning into a shred-heavy take on the classic 1969 number.
