Steel Pulse Performs Live For Paste

Steel Pulse recently stopped into Paste Studios in New York City where they performed a trio of new songs from their first album of original music in 15 years, Mass Manipulation. The legendary U.K.-based reggae band’s record is due out on May 17.

To kick things off, frontman David Hinds leads the trio through the new album’s lead single, “Stop Your Coming And Come,” which Hinds unveils is a song about his recent trip to the Rastafarian holy site in Shashamane, Ethiopia. Next, the band tackles “Don’t Shoot,” a song originally written after the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in 2013. Steel Pulse closes out their Paste session with the album’s second single, “Cry Cry Blood.” Check out the full Paste performance below:
