The First-Ever Spikeless Jordan Golf Shoes Are Finally Here

The first spikeless golf sneakers to bare Michael Jordan’s
famous “Jumpman” logo are here to give sneakerheads an edge on the green.

The Nike Jordan ADGs are equipped with a number features that the athleticwear behemoth has spent decades perfecting: a “Zoom Air” unit makes cushioning more responsive, integrated traction improves grip, and partial inner sleeves hug the foot like a sock for a more comfortable fit.

A leather upper and mesh tongue round out the kicks’ construction.

But there are also multiple nods to famous models in MJ’s beloved line of basketball shoes. Most notably, the gray elephant pattern that made its debut on the Air Jordan 3 was requested on the ADG by the NBA legend himself.

Golf Digest reports:

The cement gray elephant print is inspired by the 1988 Air Jordan 3 high-top shoes on which the iconic Jumpman logo first appeared. MJ wore the sneaker during the 1987-1988 NBA season.

Designer Tinker Hatfield originally developed the elephant print at MJ’s request and the motif has continued to show up in the Jordan collection since.

More subtle design elements, like the instep of the toe box and the translucent outsole, take inspiration from the Air Jordan ST and the Air Jordan XI Concord, respectively.

Available in black or white colorways, the Nike Jordan ADGs are going for $140 online right now.
