The National performed “You Had Your Soul With You” on last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The song appears on the band’s forthcoming new album, I Am Easy To Find.
The National’s Colbert performance featured the band augmented by additional musicians including a string section and vocalists This Is The Kit (Kate Stables) and Mina Tindle (Pauline de Lassus). The band recently shared director Mike Mills’ 24-minute companion film, also titled I Am Easy To Find. The accompanying album is due out this Friday, May 17 through 4AD.
