On Wednesday night, The Who stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a re-worked version of “Won’t Get Fooled Again” along with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon. Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, and the rest of the 30 Rock regulars played the fan-favorite tune on classroom instruments, as Fallon and The Roots have done in the past with Weezer, Metallica, Lonely Island, and more.
“Won’t Get Fooled Again” was first released as a single in June 1971, while the full eight-and-a-half-minute version appears as the final track on The Who’s 1971 album, Who’s Next.
