A video for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ “For Real” has been shared. The previously unreleased song was recently issued on the compilation The Best Of Everything.
Adria Petty, Tom’s daughter, put together the video using archival footage and photos. She also inserted intimate, behind-the-scenes clips of Petty and his band. “Throughout his storied career, Petty did everything with authenticity—putting the music and his fans first. It is this sentiment that he sings about in the poignant and autobiographical song ‘For Real,’” reads a statement accompanying the video.
