The Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah opens the doors of its Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater this month to mark the start of the second annual Deer Valley Concert Series, presented in conjunction with The State Room Presents. The amphitheater and resort are located in the heart of Utah’s mountainous vistas and host an impressive mix of performers and events throughout the summer months. This year, Deer Valley looks to welcome names like Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jenny Lewis, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Thievery Corporation, and more.
The 2019 Deer Valley Concert Season kicked off earlier this month and will continue in the coming days with Chris Botti with the Utah Symphony on June 28th, followed by a sold-out performance from Michael Franti & Spearhead with support from Ziggy Marley on June 30th. The season’s opening month will be followed a little over a week later by a few notable performances from Jenny Lewis with Waxahatchee on July 11th, and Rodrigo y Gabriela on July 27th.
Following a break from more mainstream acts throughout most of July, the schedule picks up again with Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real with The War and Treaty on August 8th, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue with Jessy Wilson on August 11th, John Butler Trio and St. Paul & The Broken Bones on August 17th, Thievery Corporation on August 23rd, and Squeeze (dubbed as “The New Lennon and McCartney”) with X! on September 7th.
Fans have the choice to select from three different seating options when purchasing tickets to this year’s events, which range from Reserved Seating, General Admission Floor, and General Admission Lawn. The three seating tiers offer the variety needed for folks who may want to be up close to the musical action, versus those with young kids who may want to explore the more spacious GA Lawn section.
When looking for ways to keep your summer fresh and full of adventure, consider a trip out west to Park City, Utah, where music will fill the clean mountain air over the next few months in the way that very few outdoor venues can.
