Percussion-centric funk fusion outfit Ghost-Note has announced an extensive 2019 world tour which will see them traverse North America and Europe throughout the summer and into the fall.
The band—comprised of drummer Robert Sput Searight, percussionist Nate Werth, bassist/guitarist MonoNeon, keyboardist Dominique Xavier Taplin, keyboardist Vaughn Henry, and horn/woodwind players Sylvester Onyejiaka, Jonathan Mones, and Mike Jelani Brooks—will offer up a number of festival performances this summer including slots at Rothbury, MI’s Electric Forest (6/28); Bond, CO’s Beanstalk (6/29); Scranton, PA’s Camp Bisco (7/18); Los Angeles, CA’s Central Ave Jazz Fest (7/27); and Newport, RI’s Newport Jazz Festival (8/3); along with a plethora of other appearances through the month of August.
In October, Ghost-Note will link up with The New Mastersounds for an intimate three-night Colorado run featuring stops at The Aggie in Fort Collins (10/9); Boulder’s Fox Theatre (10/10); and Denver’s Cervantes’ (10/11 & 10/12).
Following a month-long break from touring, Ghost-Note will regroup at Minneapolis, MN’s First Avenue on November 8th, followed by stops in Chicago, IL (11/9); Milwaukee, WI (11/10); Grand Rapids, MI (11/13); Columbus, OH (11/14); Philadelphia, PA (11/15); Raleigh, NC (11/16); Charlotte, NC (11/17); Utica, NY (11/20); Stroudsburg, PA (11/21); and a tour-closing performance at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on November 22nd.
